Eldris.
Eldris WEEE and EPR registration follows a 4-step process: select countries and waste streams, submit business details, receive registration numbers, and begin compliance reporting. Registration timelines vary by country — most complete within days, France WEEE takes 8–12 weeks. All subsequent annual reporting is handled by Eldris.

How WEEE & EPR Registration Works

Sellers want two things from EU compliance: get registered quickly, and never think about it again. Eldris delivers both. The process from first contact to active compliance takes days, not weeks — and once registered, ongoing reporting is handled automatically.

The 4-Step Process

01
Select Your Countries and Categories

Choose from the six EU Amazon marketplaces Eldris covers: Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, and Poland. Select which EPR streams apply to your products: WEEE for electrical equipment, Battery EPR for battery-powered products, and Packaging EPR for shipping materials.

Not sure which categories apply? Most Amazon FBA sellers selling electronics need WEEE registration in every marketplace where stock is held. If your product contains a lithium battery (even a button cell), Battery EPR applies. Packaging EPR covers the cardboard, poly bags, and bubble wrap used to ship your goods — this applies to virtually every physical product seller.

02
Complete Your Business Details

One form covers all countries and all categories. Eldris maps your information to the requirements of each national authority automatically. The form takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. No uploading of separate documents — just the information the authorities require.

You will need: your company registration number, legal entity name, registered address, VAT number (if applicable), the product categories you sell, and estimated annual sales volumes in units and weight (kg). If you do not have exact volume figures yet, reasonable estimates are accepted — actual volumes are reconciled during periodic reporting.

03
Eldris Submits Your Registrations

We submit your applications directly to each national authority and compliance scheme. All correspondence is handled by Eldris, including translations, follow-up queries, and authorised representative appointments if your business is not EU-established.

Each country has its own registry and process: Germany requires registration with Stiftung EAR plus a take-back scheme contract, France requires membership of an eco-organism such as ecosystem or Ecologic, Italy requires RAEE registration via the Registro AEE, and Spain requires inscription in the regional producer registry. Eldris manages each of these separately so you do not need to navigate six different systems in multiple languages.

04
Receive Numbers & Certificates

Your official producer registration numbers and compliance certificates are delivered to your Eldris dashboard. Each certificate is formatted for direct upload to Amazon Seller Central to unblock your listings.

Typical turnaround: Germany (WEEE) issues registration numbers within 1–3 weeks. France eco-organism membership is confirmed within 2–4 weeks. Italy and Spain vary between 3–6 weeks depending on the regional authority backlog. Netherlands and Poland registrations are typically completed within 1–2 weeks. You receive email notification the moment each certificate is ready, with step-by-step instructions for uploading to Amazon.

Ongoing Compliance & Maintenance

After Registration

EPR registration is not a one-off obligation. Each country requires periodic reporting of the volumes of electrical equipment, batteries, and packaging you have placed on their market. Reporting cycles vary — Germany requires annual reporting, France requires annual declarations to eco-organisms, etc.

Volume Reporting

Each reporting cycle, you provide the weight and unit count of products placed on each market during the period. Most Amazon sellers extract this data from their Seller Central reports. Eldris provides a simple template for submitting this data, and we do the actual authority filings.

Missed Deadlines

Each member state imposes penalties for late reports. Failure to submit German WEEE reports to Stiftung EAR can result in registration suspension — which invalidates your Amazon listings. Eldris eliminates this risk with automated deadline tracking and managed submissions.
