What a Germany electronics registration costs

WEEE £600 + packaging £185 = £785 a year. If the product contains a battery, add £355: £1,140 a year. Your authorised representative and annual reporting are included. Scheme and recycling fees are passed on at cost.

01 What is WEEE registration? +

WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment) registration is the legal duty for producers and importers of electrical and electronic equipment to register with the national authority in each EU country where they sell. Amazon checks these numbers country by country and has removed listings that had no valid number.

02 How much does WEEE registration cost with Eldris? +

In Germany, WEEE registration is £600 a year, with the first EAR device category included. Each additional German EAR category is £255. Battery EPR in Germany is £355 and packaging (LUCID) is £185 a year. Every registration renews at the same price, with unlimited SKUs and no monthly fee. All 29 countries are priced on the pricing page.

03 How long does WEEE registration take? +

Germany WEEE registration takes 6–13 weeks on average. Average registration time runs from 1 week (Germany packaging) to 9–17 weeks (Greece). The clock starts when we have your documents and signed power of attorney. Spain packaging takes 4–5 months without a Spanish tax number (NIF). Each line on the pricing page shows its own average.

04 What happens if I sell on Amazon without WEEE registration? +

Amazon can suspend or remove your listings in the marketplaces where it checks registration numbers. In Germany, fines for selling unregistered electronics can reach €100,000.

05 Is Amazon Pay on Behalf the same as WEEE registration? +

No. Amazon Pay on Behalf handles eco-contribution fees in some countries but does not register you with national authorities, does not provide a WEEE producer number, and does not satisfy the legal obligation under ElektroG or equivalent national laws.
