Eldris covers 29 countries: the 27 EU member states, Norway and the UK, for packaging, electronics and batteries. The authorised representative is included wherever the law requires one, as it does for packaging under Regulation (EU) 2025/40, Article 45(3). Eldris appoints it under the power of attorney you sign; for Portugal packaging the representative's fee is passed through at cost. Hungarian and Dutch textiles and Swiss electronics and batteries are on request. The UK is quoted only for direct supply to UK customers.
Every country on the price list, stream by stream
Eldris registers packaging, electronics and batteries in each of the 29 countries it covers. Each country has its own lines on the pricing page. Each registration line states what it includes, which third-party fees pass through at cost and the average time to register.
The streams follow what you sell, not where you sell it. Packaging applies to any product you sell in packaging. Electronics, registered under the WEEE rules, covers equipment that needs electric current to work. Batteries cover products that contain them or come with them. A few countries combine or order their lines. Italy also offers electronics and batteries as one bundle. Norway sells packaging on its own and puts electronics and batteries inside a single all-in bundle. Poland requires a packaging registration before electronics, and Spain adds a one-off NIF if you do not already hold one. Some countries carry further lines: France prices textiles, toys, furniture, sports and leisure goods, and DIY and garden tools, and Germany prices single-use plastics. The country index gives each market its own page, and the pricing page shows every line with its price. The guide to packaging EPR in the EU markets explains how the packaging duty differs between them.
Where the representative comes with the registration
In each EU member state where the law requires an authorised representative, it is part of the registration. Eldris appoints it under the power of attorney you sign, which names EldrisAi OÜ as your single point of contact. For Portugal packaging the representative's fee is passed through at cost.
The rule applies to a seller that sells directly to consumers in a country where it is not established. For packaging, that seller appoints an authorised representative there under Regulation (EU) 2025/40, Article 45(3). For batteries the same duty sits in Regulation (EU) 2023/1542, Article 56(3). For electronics, a seller registers through an authorised representative where it is not registered itself, under Directive 2012/19/EU, Article 16(1). The duty runs country by country, so a seller in several markets has a representative in each one where the law asks for it. You sign a power of attorney for each country, and that document authorises the appointment. EldrisAi OÜ remains your single point of contact for all of them. Norway keeps its own registers outside the EU, and the UK has its own rules, set out below. The Portugal packaging line lists the representative's fee as a third-party charge. Published scheme and authority charges are on the scheme and authority fees page.
What is quoted on request
Some combinations are not on the price list and are quoted individually. These are textiles in Hungary and the Netherlands, Swiss electronics and batteries, large UK packaging producers and UK batteries for a seller with no UK entity. Ask for them when you request a quote, and a person answers.
Each has its reason in the rules of the market. Switzerland is not a priced market, and Swiss packaging registration is not required. Its electronics and battery schemes charge contributions per unit or per kilogram, so the figure depends on what you sell. Textiles have a published line in France, while textiles in Hungary and the Netherlands are priced on request. In the UK, large packaging producers pay waste disposal fees that scale with tonnage, which is why they are quoted individually. UK battery law has no authorised-representative route, so a battery seller with no UK entity is generally not the obligated producer; the UK importer is. Two further items are quoted rather than listed. The first is taking over an existing representative or scheme contract, such as an active German packaging registration. The second is the German electronics insolvency guarantee, whose cost varies by device category and is quoted once the category is confirmed.
Why the UK is quoted only for direct supply
Eldris quotes UK registration only if you supply UK customers directly. A seller based outside the UK that sells to UK households through an online marketplace is, in most cases, not the party that registers there.
The reason differs by stream. For electricals, the marketplace has been the producer since 12 August 2025 where a supplier outside the UK sells to UK households through it. The rule is in SI 2025/910 regulation 2D. An overseas seller is the producer only when it supplies UK end users directly. For batteries, the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009 define the producer as a person in the UK. UK battery law has no representative route, so the UK importer is usually the obligated party. For packaging, a marketplace on which packaging is supplied in the UK from outside the UK is itself a producer. The GOV.UK guidance sorts producers into small and large by turnover and tonnage. If you do supply UK customers directly, the UK lines are on the price list, and Eldris also needs your most recent annual accounts. The UK registration page sets out the three streams in detail.
Hungary, Slovakia and the rest of Central and Eastern Europe
Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia are all on the price list for packaging, electronics and batteries. The same EU law applies there as in every other member state, and the representative is included where it requires one.
Sellers mostly ask about Hungary's product codes and Slovakia's representative rule. For Hungary, Eldris needs the 8-digit customs (CN) code of every product you sell there. Hungary derives its EPR product codes, the KF codes, from customs tariff codes. The Hungary packaging line includes the KF-code classification and the quarterly filings, including nil returns. A Hungarian tax number is not part of the service. Slovakia applies Regulation (EU) 2025/40, Article 45(3) like every member state: a seller selling directly to consumers there from another country appoints a representative there, even one established in another member state. Slovak waste law also requires a producer with no seat in Slovakia to appoint one. A Bulgarian seller selling directly to consumers in Hungary is a producer there, and a German registration does not cover Slovakia. The Hungary page covers that market in detail, and this question sits with the others sellers ask on the questions page.
Frequently asked questions
Does Eldris cover Switzerland?
Not on the price list. Swiss packaging registration is not required. Swiss electronics and batteries are quoted on request, because the schemes there charge contributions per unit or per kilogram. Ask for Switzerland when you request a quote, with the products you sell there.
Are electronics and batteries covered in Norway?
Yes, inside the all-in bundle. Norway sells packaging on its own and puts electronics and batteries inside a single all-in bundle with packaging. Norway is outside the EU and keeps its own registers; its lines are on the pricing page with the others.
Is the representative included in Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria?
Yes, wherever the law requires one. Eldris appoints it under the power of attorney you sign, and EldrisAi OÜ is your single point of contact. For Portugal packaging the representative's fee is passed through at cost; in these countries it is part of the registration.
Do you cover textile EPR in Hungary?
On request. Textiles in Hungary and the Netherlands are not on the price list and are quoted individually. France has a published textiles line. Mention Hungarian textiles when you request a quote, alongside the packaging, electronics or battery lines you need there.
Do you obtain a Hungarian tax number?
No. A Hungarian tax number is not part of the service. For Hungary, Eldris needs the 8-digit customs (CN) code of every product you sell there. The portal also asks for any existing Hungarian environmental client ID or scheme contract you hold.
I am established in another EU country. Do I need a representative in Slovakia?
Yes, if you sell directly to consumers there and are not established in Slovakia. Regulation (EU) 2025/40, Article 45(3) applies there as in every member state, and your home-country registration does not cover it. Eldris includes the representative in the Slovakia lines where the law requires one.
