WEEE EPR in Romania is mandatory under Government Emergency Ordinance 5/2015 (the Romanian WEEE law) and the packaging regime under Law 249/2015, supervised by the Administraţia Fondului pentru Mediu (AFM). Producers placing electrical equipment, batteries or packaged goods on the Romanian market must enrol in the National EEE Register and join an authorised compliance scheme.
