WEEE EPR in Slovakia is mandatory under the Waste Act (Act No. 79/2015 Coll.), which transposes the EU WEEE, Battery and Packaging Directives and is supervised by the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic. Producers placing electrical equipment, batteries or packaged goods on the Slovak market must enrol in the Register of Producers and contract a producer responsibility organisation (OZV). EPR registration in Slovakia costs £495 for Packaging, £740 for WEEE and £750 for Battery with Eldris — a one-off annual fee, never monthly.
